FOUNTAINS ABBEY WILD TRAIL RUNS

Fountains Abbey Wild Trail Runs 2027 invites runners to explore the stunning landscapes surrounding Ripon, North Yorkshire. Set within Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal Water Garden, this World Heritage Site offers an unparalleled backdrop for trail running enthusiasts of all ages.
The event takes place on Sunday, February 28th, 2027, with distances tailored to various skill levels: a scenic 5km run suitable for runners aged 11 and above; a more challenging 10km route open to those 15 years or older; and the half marathon option designed for athletes aged 17+.
The trail routes wind through picturesque sections of the Deer Park, Water Garden, and Fountains Abbey itself. Each distance offers unique terrain and breathtaking views that showcase the rich history and natural beauty of this historic site.
For those who enjoy running with their canine companions, Canicross is welcomed at this event. Participants may bring one well-controlled dog on a lead throughout the run.
Race timing will be provided by Timing Up North, ensuring accurate results available instantly upon crossing the finish line. All participants have up to three hours to complete any of the distances set out for them.
Upon finishing your race, you'll receive a bespoke event medal and Wild Deer merchandise as well as snacks and refreshments to fuel your post-race recovery. Additionally, runners can opt-in during registration to purchase an official event T-shirt for £14.00.
Parking is conveniently available on-site at the venue for just £4 per vehicle, with passes able to be purchased alongside race entries.
