Fox & Tiger Charity Bike & Beer Ride 2026

Riding into its fourth year, the Fox & Tiger Charity Bike and Beer Ride is back with two exciting routes for cyclists looking to challenge themselves while supporting important causes. Organized in partnership with SPEEDHUB Triathlon Store, this annual event raises funds for LOROS Hospice and the Leicestershire MS Therapy Centre.
Participants can choose between an 80km standard route or a more demanding 102km option designed for those seeking a greater challenge. Both routes wind through some of South Leicestershire's most picturesque minor roads, offering scenic views and quiet lanes that provide cyclists with the perfect blend of terrain and tranquility.
The ride begins and concludes at the welcoming Fox & Tiger pub in Blaby, where participants will find ample free parking available just across the street. A feed stop approximately halfway through both routes provides essential hydration and refueling opportunities, serving water along with a selection of vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free cakes—though riders are encouraged to bring their own snacks if they have specific dietary requirements.
Upon returning to the pub after completing either route, cyclists will be greeted by live music from The Jamlocks. Entry fees include complimentary beer or soft drinks as well as hot food provided at the finish line for those who complete within a certain timeframe—riders must return to the Fox & Tiger by 2pm (five hours post-start) to ensure guaranteed access to the BBQ and refreshments.
Safety is paramount, with all riders required to wear helmets and maintain roadworthy bikes. Front and rear flashing lights are recommended for visibility during early morning or late afternoon rides when light conditions can be challenging. Riders must navigate both routes independently; a GPX file will be provided closer to the event date via RideWithGPS.
While basic tools and track pumps will be available at the feed stop, it's important to note that there is no mechanical support along the route itself. In case of bike issues or inability to continue riding due to unforeseen circumstances, participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation back to the pub. However, organizers are happy to assist if possible.
For those under 18 years old, adult accompaniment at all times during the ride is mandatory. Additionally, riders must reach the feed stop by noon to receive refreshments; after this time, it will be packed up and returned to the Fox & Tiger pub.
First aiders are stationed at the start/finish location but not along the route itself—any medical emergencies should be reported directly to local authorities for immediate assistance. Photos taken during the event may appear on social media platforms managed by the organizers; participants can use these photos personally as well.
