Georgina Marathon & Half-Marathon returns to Jacksons Point in Ontario, Canada on September 13th, 2026.
Race participants will gather at De La Salle Park for this event, located near the picturesque south shore of Lake Simcoe. The setting is quiet and serene; race morning finds runners starting their journey along Lake Drive North, a route that winds through charming communities with plenty of shade and stunning views. The atmosphere on race day promises to be relaxed yet competitive.
This event has been running since 2015, making it one of the longest-standing races in the region. It attracts over 3,000 participants each year, raising funds for local scholarships and community initiatives that support young athletes in Georgina. The marathon is a Boston Qualifier Marathon course certified by Athletics Canada.
The race offers a fast and flat 5km run/walk, a challenging 10km option, a half-marathon distance of 21km, and the full marathon at 42km. Each distance provides unique experiences for runners looking to test their endurance or simply enjoy a scenic day out on the course.
The race kicks off with the marathon at 7:30am, followed by the half-marathon start at 7:50am and the 10km run/walk at 8:00am. Aid stations are set up every 2.5-3km along the route to ensure runners stay hydrated.
Weather conditions on race day can be expected to feel around 18°C, with humidity levels at about 77%. The average wind speed is 11.4 km/h, which should not significantly impact performance but might make it slightly cooler than the temperature suggests.
