Glen Clova Half Marathon Saturday, November 21, 2026 Start Time: Noon The Glen Clova Half Marathon is an exhilarating race through the picturesque glens of Scotland. Limited to just 300 runners on a first-come, first-served basis, registration closes on Friday, November 13, or when the event reaches full capacity; no entries will be accepted on race day. This scenic half marathon features an accurately measured and marked route that winds through open roads in an anticlockwise loop around Glen Clova. The course is lined with marshals at key junctions to ensure a smooth run for all participants. Runners are reminded to adhere to instructions from the marshals, adhering strictly to the left-hand side of the road throughout. The race includes three strategically placed water stations along the route and strict cut-off times: runners must reach the halfway point within 1 hour and 30 minutes or be withdrawn by the Race Director. The overall course completion time limit is set at 3 hours, ensuring a manageable yet challenging experience for all competitors. Participants should confirm their ability to meet these requirements before signing up. Entry fees are £18 for Association of Running Clubs (ARC) members and £20 for non-members. Upon crossing the finish line, runners will receive both a memento and recognition in various categories, with prizes awarded to top male and female competitors as well as team winners based on their club affiliations. Post-race refreshments include warm soup served at Glen Clova Hotel, providing nourishment after your run. Additionally, free pre- and post-event massages are available for all participants to help ease any aches or pains from the race day exertions. First aid services will be provided throughout the event to ensure participant safety. Results will typically be published within 48 hours of completion, allowing runners to track their performance quickly after crossing the finish line. Entries are non-refundable and cannot be transferred; however, those unable to attend may defer their entry for one year by notifying organizers no later than Friday, November 6 at 18:00. The Glen Clova Half Marathon is sanctioned under Association of Running Club rules (ARC permit number ARC/26/0810) and sponsored by the Glen Clova Hotel. About Angus
Learn more about the host city, Angus.
Angus is a county in North East Scotland, which historically had Dundee as its main conurbation though this is now separately governed. Angus can be considered the birthplace not only of Scotland – the 1320 Declaration of Arbroath first asserted the nation's sovereignty – but also of its grandparents. It was the heartland of the Picts from about 100 BC to 900 AD, when they merged into the Celts. Any place named "Pit-" is likely to have been their dwelling, but all that remains of their culture is the collection of carved stones dotted around Angus.
