Grand Sand 15k

Nestled along the picturesque shores of Lester Beach and winding through the scenic Trans-Canada Trail, the Grand Sand 15k Trail Race offers runners an unforgettable journey across diverse terrain. Organized by trail running enthusiasts Cory and Anneke Funk, this event combines beachside runs with a challenging trek on cross-country ski trails at Grand Beach.
The race route weaves through Treaty 1 Territory, acknowledging the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, as well as the homeland of the Metis Nation. Runners can expect to experience a blend of sandy beaches and lush greenery, with each step offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
Participants will navigate varied terrain that includes soft sand along the beachfront and more rugged paths through wooded areas. It's important to note that refunds or deferrals are not available under any circumstances, including cancellations due to unforeseen events like COVID-19.
