The Great Eastern Run returns this year with an improved route designed to cater to both runners and spectators. Based on valuable feedback from participants and key organizing partners, the updated path ensures that competitors have better opportunities for setting personal best times while providing enthusiastic supporters with prime vantage points along the way.
Runners will experience a 100% road/tarmac course, which is ideal for achieving faster speeds due to its smooth surface. A notable highlight of this year's event is the passage through the heart of Peterborough’s city centre and past the historic grounds of Peterborough Cathedral. This segment was added in 2023, offering participants a unique blend of urban energy and architectural splendor.
