About the Event
Starting 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 12 at the north gate of Baoshou Mountain Scenic Area in Yuhang District, Hangzhou, this youth event caps at 800 participants across obstacle-course Challenge and timed Speed formats, each split by age: Challenge Young Kirin (ages 5-7, parent required, 4km incl. trail + 8 checkpoints), Green Chi (ages 8-10, 4km + 10 checkpoints), Mystic Dragon (ages 11-14, 4km + 10 checkpoints); Speed Soaring Cloud (ages 5-7, parent required, 4km), Riding Chariot (ages 8-10, 6km), Vast Wave (ages 11-14, 8km), and Ninth Heaven (ages 15+, including adults, 10km). Registration is first-come, first-served. Starting at dusk to dodge the summer heat, the course strings together ten obstacle sections -- rock gardens, floating bridges, grassy slopes, and a waterfall crossing -- for a race that rewards grit as much as speed, capped with a dragon-spirit finisher medal. The finish line opens into a beach party, with water-gun battles, a self-serve barbecue, and music to close out the evening.
