As you move along, landmarks like local shops and quaint cafes offer a sense of place that’s hard to find in typical race courses.
Harbour Hustle has been running for several years now, solidifying its place as a beloved annual event that brings together runners and walkers from all walks of life. In 2025, over 1,300 participants took part across the four heats: Men’s, Women's, Youth, and Children under 10 years old. The event has raised significant funds for North Grove, a community hub offering essential services to its members. This year, Harbour Hustle continues to support this vital cause with every step taken.
Course & Conditions
The course of the race is well-marked along Macdonald Bridge from Halifax to Dartmouth. Participants will run through firm and slightly soft terrain as they navigate the one-mile distance. Four heats ensure a variety in competition levels: Men’s, Women's, Youth, and Children under 10 years old are all welcome participants, making this event truly family-friendly.
The race starts at Macdonald Bridge garage (behind Dartmouth HHB HQ) on Saturday August 1st from noon to 3 PM for bib pick-up. Participants should arrive with their own running gear as there will be no race-day pickup available. Non-service dogs are not allowed, so bring your four-legged family members elsewhere.
