Healdsburg Fitch Mountain Footrace

About the Event

The Fitch Mountain Footrace, now in its 51st year, is an annual community-driven event that brings families together for a morning of fun and fitness. Organized by the Healdsburg Running Club (HRC) with Co-Race Directors Miguel and Marisela Peña alongside Skip Brand, this family-friendly race supports local causes such as Corazón Healdsburg and kids running teams.
The event features two courses: a 10K route that winds through charming neighborhoods before heading out around Fitch Mountain along the Russian River, ultimately returning to the heart of downtown. The shorter 3K course offers an in-town loop with gentle terrain, making it ideal for runners, walkers, and families with young children or pets.
Set against the backdrop of Sonoma Wine Country's picturesque landscapes, participants can enjoy scenic views of the historic Healdsburg Downtown Plaza as they start and finish their race. The area is renowned for its world-class wineries and top-notch restaurants, providing a perfect setting to celebrate after crossing the finish line.
Local partners including Costeaux French Bakery, State Farm, Old Caz, Fitch Mountain Dental, St. John Catholic School, Kiwanis Club of Healdsburg, and Empire Runners all contribute to ensure that every participant has an enjoyable experience. Packet pickup is available at the Healdsburg Running Company on Friday and Saturday from noon to 5 pm or race morning starting at 6:30 am.
Join us for a day filled with community spirit, beautiful scenery, and a celebration of running in one of California’s most charming wine country towns.
Participants can register as groups by following the simple steps provided. Each runner must complete their individual registration process but can be billed together using a single payment method.

Healdsburg is a city of 12,000 people (2019) in Sonoma County in the Bay Area of California. It's lovely, quaint town that used to be an agricultural outpost. The three main areas of interest are the town plaza, around which you'll find boutiques, restaurants, and lodging; the Russian River; and the wineries along Westside Road and Dry Creek Road. The Healdsburg/Alexander Valley area is famous for its Zins, though you can't go wrong with goodies like sparkling wine from J Winery, Pinot Noir from Porter Creek, and the famous Petite Sirah at Foppiano's.
