Celebrate the enduring German running tradition at the 39th Heizomat Altmühlseelauf, an inclusive evening event set for Saturday, July 18, 2026, near the scenic Altmühlsee in Bavaria. The centerpiece of the day is the Halbmarathon (Half Marathon), which begins at 6:00 PM and challenges runners over a 21.1 km course that circles the entire beautiful Altmühlsee and returns to the SV Unterwurmbach sports grounds. This event caters to every pace and age group, offering the popular 7.4 km Jedermannslauf (Fun Run) starting at 6:20 PM, alongside a 21.1 km relay with a special corporate team category. The fun starts early in the afternoon with youth races, including the 2.0 km Schülerlauf and the celebratory 400 m Bambinilauf for the youngest runners, ensuring record participation across the board. The Altmühlseelauf is an integral part of the regional Raiffeisen Läufer-Cup, drawing both elite runners aiming for points and passionate local athletes. Beyond the challenge, every participant supports the SV Unterwurmbach club, with proceeds invested directly into local youth sports and grounds maintenance.
