Hopton 10K 2026

The seventh edition of the Hopton 10K presents runners with a picturesque and engaging course that winds through the tranquil countryside surrounding Hopton, Mirfield. This race offers a delightful mix of terrain, blending serene woodland bridleways with peaceful rural roads for an experience ideal for both road and trail enthusiasts.
Participants can look forward to tackling several gentle inclines along the way, adding variety and challenge without overwhelming runners. The route is approximately 60% trails and 40% paved paths, making it a perfect stepping stone into more adventurous running terrain while still offering familiar elements of traditional races.
Upon crossing the finish line, racers are greeted with chip timing accuracy and an optional T-shirt to commemorate their achievement. A local café provides refreshments for those in need of sustenance post-race, alongside a hearty serving of bacon butties that have become a beloved tradition among runners. With ample free parking available for around 70 vehicles, the event ensures easy access and convenience.
All funds raised from this race go directly to supporting Hopton Primary School, adding an extra layer of meaning to each step taken along the course.
