This memorial race takes place in the scenic areas around Valbandon and Štinjan, offering runners a chance to remember the tragic loss of this dedicated public servant while promoting healthy living and recreational activities. Ivan Todorić was a young and promising member of the Pula-Pola Police Station who stood out for his unwavering commitment to duty. His untimely death on September 22, 2018, in a car accident as he headed to work wearing his cherished police uniform marked an immense loss not only to the community but also to those who knew him personally. The race is more than just a tribute; it’s a charity event where all proceeds are donated to the Police Solidarity Fund. Established with the aim of supporting casualties and disadvantaged police officers, this fund provides financial assistance to family members of fallen officers, helps solve housing issues for their dependents, supports children's education, offers social and health care services, and aids severely ill police officers and their families.
