Insch School Rainbow Run

Join us for the vibrant and colorful Insch School Rainbow Run, set to be an even bigger spectacle than ever before! This family-friendly event is organized by Jog Scotland Insch and hosted at Bennachie Leisure Centre. Participants of all ages are invited to run, walk, skip, or hop their way through a fun-filled course designed to turn you into a rainbow!

The event offers eight wave starts at various times throughout the day: 11.30am, 11.50am, 12.10pm, 12.30pm, 12.50pm, 13.10pm, 13.30pm, and 13.50pm. Each wave includes a new, longer route packed with obstacles and multiple powder stations to ensure you leave the event as colorful as possible.
All proceeds from this run will support Insch School's mission to upgrade their playground by installing a wooden trim trail course and creating a sensory nature garden for students to enjoy. Participants must be at least 3 years old; those between ages 3-5 require an accompanying adult who also needs to register and pay the entry fee.
The race registration costs £8 plus booking fees, with no refunds available. Entry on the day is not permitted, so make sure you sign up in advance! The course itself winds around the BLC pitches, featuring obstacles and ample opportunities for color powder application—made from non-toxic natural ingredients but be aware that it may cause stains.
To fully enjoy this event, wear old clothes or an old white school t-shirt to best showcase your vibrant colors. Participants will receive a pair of sunglasses upon registration to protect their eyes during the run. After crossing the finish line, everyone receives a medal and water along with some extra powder for post-race fun!

- The Jog Scotland Insch Picardy 5K taking place earlier in the day.
- Food vans on site offering refreshments at Bennachie Leisure Centre.
- A barbecue by the pitches provided by BLC.
Limited parking is available, so walking or cycling to the event is encouraged. Registration opens half an hour before each wave start and takes place inside the BLC where you can also collect your wristband and glasses. Follow signs upon entry through the front door, register, pick up your items, then exit via the backdoor directly onto the course.
Please wear appropriate footwear as the ground around the pitches may be uneven. Dogs are not permitted to participate in this event due to safety concerns for both animals and participants. Photographs will capture all the fun moments during the run; these photos will later appear on Insch School PC PTA social media channels.
