About the Event

The Keyworth Turkey Trot Half Marathon returns to enchant runners with its picturesque route through South Nottinghamshire Wolds on December 13, 2026. This beloved race offers an invigorating experience for both seasoned athletes and casual joggers alike.
Starting from the heart of historic Keyworth village, participants will traverse scenic countryside paths lined with lush greenery and charming views that change throughout the season. The course is meticulously marked to ensure a smooth run, enhanced by the presence of dedicated marshals who guide runners along every mile.
Awards are plentiful at this event, recognizing top overall finishers as well as winners in age categories, local residents, and teams with the best combined times from their members. In addition to these accolades, there is an array of spot prizes that add excitement for all participants.
Free parking options abound within walking distance of the start/finish line, ensuring easy access for runners and spectators alike. The race amenities include comprehensive medical support provided by St John’s Ambulance at both the starting point and along the route, three hydration stations offering refreshments during the run, portable toilets positioned conveniently throughout, and a variety of trade stands selling running gear.
Post-race celebrations await with complimentary beverages such as tea, coffee, or cold drinks to quench thirsts after crossing the finish line.
