Challenging runners with breathtaking views and rugged terrain, the Yorkshire Three Peaks fell race qualifier is set for an unforgettable day on Saturday, September 5th, 2026. This race invites participants to experience some of England's most spectacular scenery as they navigate through Wharfedale, a region renowned for its stunning landscapes within the Yorkshire Dales.
The course features around 900 meters of ascent across three distinct hill climbs that reward runners with panoramic vistas and invigorating challenges. The route meanders along riverside footpaths, rolls over expansive moors, and offers exhilarating descents through varied terrain. Each section presents unique opportunities to appreciate the area's natural beauty while pushing physical limits.
Participants will gather at Hawkswick Cote car park in Kettlewell, where registration opens promptly at 08:00 AM. Race numbers must be collected by 09:45 AM from a tent set up within the car park field. The race itself begins at exactly 10:00 AM.
The event includes essential amenities such as toilets located in the car park and opportunities to purchase XCover, providing participants with peace of mind should unforeseen circumstances prevent their attendance.
Upon completion of the challenging course, runners will be eligible for a variety of prizes. These include awards for first-place male and female competitors, open class winners, non-binary athletes, and age category distinctions (V40, V50, V60 & V70+). The prize-giving ceremony takes place on-site post-race.
