Step into the heart of Brittany for an unforgettable running experience with the Foetadenn race, returning on November 14-15, 2026. This year marks its third edition and features a thrilling night trail option starting Saturday evening. The event celebrates the spirit of "foetañ bro," meaning to traverse the countryside in all conditions without hesitation or regret. Whether it's rain or wind, runners will embrace the challenge with enthusiasm as they explore scenic trails through Gouédic Valley and beyond. On Saturday, participants can choose from a 11km hike departing from Robien, offering an easy entry into the weekend’s activities. Sunday presents six different routes ranging from 5km to 19km, catering to all levels of experience and fitness. Highlights include: - Saturday Night Trail (13km): Dive straight into the night with a technical course that combines forest paths, challenging climbs, and stunning views over Gouédic Valley. A must for those looking to push their limits under starlit skies.
- Sunday Short Distance Run (7km): Ideal for beginners or experienced runners seeking an enjoyable pace on mostly flat terrain with some gentle inclines. - Intermediate Trail (13km): This course offers a mix of runnable sections and technical trails, winding through Gouédic Valley before climbing to the historic Villa Rohannec'h. A blend of scenic beauty and physical challenge.
- Long Distance Challenge (22km): For seasoned runners ready for an epic adventure, this route extends beyond the 13km course into dense forest areas and steep hills in Plérin. Expect breathtaking vistas and relentless climbs. Each run is designed to immerse you in Brittany's unique landscape, from charming villages to rugged coastlines. The technical nature of some trails means runners should come prepared with appropriate gear like a headlamp for the night race or sturdy shoes for rocky paths. Registration opens on September 5th at 1:00 PM and can be completed via HelloAsso. Bib collection will take place in Robien's Great Hall starting Saturday, November 14th from 3:00 PM until Sunday, November 15th up to 15 minutes before each race start time. Join the Foetadenn for a weekend of camaraderie and breathtaking runs through one of Brittany’s most picturesque regions.
