L'Arche Antigonish 11th Annual Fun Walk & Run!

On Sunday, September 27, 2026, the community of Antigonish invites runners and walkers alike to celebrate the eleventh anniversary of the Columbus Field Fun Walk & Run. This beloved annual event offers both adults ($30) and youth under sixteen ($20) an opportunity to enjoy a scenic route while supporting local initiatives.
Registration opens at 10:00 AM on race day, with t-shirt pick-up available from that time as well. On-site registration will also be accepted until the start of the event at 11:00 AM sharp. Participants can choose to pre-register by contacting Megan MacDougall via outreach@larcheantigonish.ca and sending e-transfers to events@larcheantigonish.ca, with online registration closing on September 26.
The race begins and concludes at Columbus Field, covering a distance of approximately five kilometers. The route winds through the heart of Antigonish, beginning at Columbus Field before heading up Main Street towards Church Street. After crossing St. Ninian's, runners will continue along Church Street until reaching Founders Walk, where they'll turn around to complete their journey back to Columbus Field.
Post-race festivities include a Kinsmen BBQ starting at 11:30 AM and the chance to purchase tickets for a draw that offers a L'Arche Gift Basket. Don't forget your cash as it will be required on race day, with both in-person payments and e-transfers accepted during registration.
