Get ready for the Ultraløbet Fyr til Fyr, taking place on Bornholm Island on September 5th, 2026. This unique race offers runners an unforgettable journey across diverse landscapes and challenging terrains that showcase the beauty of Denmark’s easternmost island.
Participants will gather at Hammerhusvej in Allinge to collect their start numbers either a day before or one hour prior to the event start time for those who can't make it earlier. The collection point is located near Hotel Hammersø, where runners should bring photo identification and health insurance documents as mandatory requirements.
The race course itself weaves through picturesque coastal paths marked with chalk piles leading from Svaneke Fyr to Hammerodde Fyr before reaching the final destination at Hammerfyret, covering a varied terrain that includes sandy beaches, singletrack trails, gravel roads, and stretches of asphalt.
Runners are advised to wear breathable waterproof jackets as weather conditions can be unpredictable. The route is well marked with clear directions ensuring an easy navigation experience for all competitors.
The event encourages participants to embrace the spirit of community by respecting local residents' needs—no parking near Hammerfyret during race hours and using designated areas instead, such as P-Pladsen at Hammerbrudet or down at Hammer Havn.
For those who need transportation from Allinge to Dueodde for the start line, busses will depart early in the morning with strict adherence to schedules. Bags can be handed over at registration points along the route and transported to the finish area where they'll await runners post-race.
