Lithia Loop

The Lithia Loop Trail Marathon, scheduled for the second Saturday in November 2026, invites runners to experience a unique blend of terrain that challenges both legs and lungs. The course is meticulously designed as a loop, with the first half featuring 2 miles of pavement followed by 3 miles of double track trail. As you progress further into the race, you'll encounter an additional 6 miles of single-track trails before finishing on 15 miles of closed-course dirt road.
The elevation profile is one of the event's defining features: runners can expect a steep ascent over three thousand feet within the first ten miles. The latter half sees this climb reversed as participants descend through varied terrain, offering both scenic views and technical challenges. November weather in the region ranges from sunny skies around 60 degrees at the finish line to light rain or even snowfall at higher elevations.
Each participant will receive a medal upon completion along with a commemorative technical garment that complements the race's rugged theme. The event also includes a hearty meal for all finishers, ensuring runners are well-fueled after their efforts.
In addition to the marathon, there’s an equally exciting Mini Marathon and 10k Trail Run starting at 8am alongside the full marathon participants. These shorter races share the initial portion of the loop but diverge onto unique paths: while mini-marathoners continue along Rickety Trail past Lower Horn Gap Road before heading back via Upper Wonder Trail, the 10k runners take a right turn on the Wonder Trail to follow its lower path and return through Lithia Park.
