Experience the breathtaking beauty of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania as you traverse miles of gravel roads around its stunning PA Grand Canyon. This year’s course offers an exciting twist with some familiar roads reimagined and others introduced for 2026. The Full MAMMOTH Course is a true test at 132 miles long with over 13,000 feet of elevation gain, challenging even the most seasoned riders. You'll embark on two separate loops that both start and end in downtown Wellsboro’s vibrant heart. The morning loop covers an impressive 64 miles while the afternoon loop stretches to a daunting 68 miles. For those seeking less distance but still a significant challenge, the Half MAMMOTH Route is your choice at 64 miles. This course shares some of its terrain with Full MAMMOTH participants before concluding after just one loop. New this year, the Quarter MAMMOTH Route offers an abbreviated adventure for riders who prefer something less daunting but still demanding. Covering a total distance of 39 miles and climbing around 3700 feet, it’s not for the faint-hearted yet remains a formidable challenge with ample rewards along the way. Throughout each loop, you’ll encounter two major aid stations situated roughly halfway through. These stops are generously stocked by local businesses to provide hearty sustenance and essentials. The morning station is included in all registrations, while the afternoon stop is reserved exclusively for Full MAMMOTH registrants. Safety measures include a support vehicle patrolling the course and sweep riders bringing up the rear. However, it’s highly recommended that you carry supplies sufficient for approximately 35 miles to ensure your safety on this rugged terrain. The event will proceed rain or shine; no refunds are offered due to weather-related cancellations. Breakfast and lunch options are available at designated points along both Full MAMMOTH loops, with additional dinner provided only for those undertaking the full distance. Half and Quarter MAMMOTH riders enjoy breakfast and lunch as well, all of which offer vegan choices. A GPS file will be sent to your registered email a few weeks before the event to aid navigation. All day activities are centered around a tent set up on the grass lot at the corner of Main St. and Central Ave., just steps from Beck's Bistro. Free parking is conveniently located nearby, with hotels in downtown Wellsboro offering easy access within about a two-minute bicycle ride.
