Mariagerfjord Rundt

Mariagerfjord Rundt is an exceptional running challenge that offers runners the opportunity to explore one of Denmark's most picturesque coastal landscapes. The 56-kilometer route follows a scenic cycle path around Mariagerfjord, taking participants through charming Danish towns and villages including Mariager, Hadsund, Stinesminde, and Hobro.
The race is designed for both solo runners and relay teams, allowing competitors to experience the beauty of the fjord at their own pace. The route winds along a well-marked path with occasional deviations where flags and markers guide participants back onto the main course. While most sections are clearly signposted, some stretches may require following road signs carefully.
Runners can expect an undulating terrain that showcases both coastal views and inland scenery, offering plenty of opportunities to admire Denmark's natural beauty. The race starts in Mariager and finishes at the same location where participants will be greeted with a hot dog and either beer or water upon crossing the finish line.
Participants must bring their own supplies for the depots located along the route as there are no official refreshment stations provided by organizers. Each runner is equipped with an embedded chip in their race number to ensure accurate timing throughout the event.
All participants who complete the 56-kilometer course will receive a unique medal, limited to a maximum of five medals per relay team. The Mariagerfjord Rundt promises not only a challenging physical test but also an unforgettable experience for all runners and their supporters.
