Metro Aberdeen Proms 3K Winter Series February

Winter runs have never been more inviting than with Metro Aberdeen Running Club's Promenade 3K Winter Series for the 2026-2027 season. This exciting series takes place on The Beach Esplanade, offering runners a scenic route along Aberdeen’s coast every first Friday of the month from October to March.
Each race kicks off at precisely 1:00 PM, providing participants with an early afternoon escape into fresh air and sea breezes. The event features six races in total—October 2nd, November 6th, December 4th 2026, January 8th 2027, February 5th, and March 5th.
Registration is required for each race at £3 per entry, with no on-the-day sign-ups allowed. To ensure a seamless experience, runners should collect their numbers from the registration point located just north of the Beach Leisure Centre along the promenade. Participants are encouraged to keep the same number throughout all races in the series and must confirm their presence at each event.
The Promenade 3K Winter Series is sanctioned under SAL rules, ensuring fair play across all events. The course has been meticulously measured by Jones Counter for accuracy and consistency.
While adult runners enjoy the main series, young athletes aged U/16 can participate in a parallel junior dash available through https://www.entrycentral.com/juniordash. The accumulated times from three out of six races will determine the overall series winners who will be awarded prizes across several categories.
