Monsal Tinsel Trail Christmas 10k, 5k & Junior Run

Celebrate the holiday spirit with our inaugural festive run on the Monsal Trail, taking place on Saturday, December 5th at 10:30 AM. Nestled in Bakewell, Derbyshire, this brand-new race offers a unique blend of winter wonder and scenic beauty for runners of all ages and abilities.
The event features three engaging distances: a challenging 10k route, a family-friendly 5k course, and a Junior Run designed specifically for young athletes. The trail winds through the picturesque Peak District, offering undulating terrain that showcases the area's natural splendor in its winter attire. As you navigate frost-dusted paths and crisp air, immerse yourself in the serene beauty of Derbyshire during the festive season.
The race promises an unforgettable experience with a traffic-free environment that allows participants to fully enjoy the trail without any distractions. The event atmosphere is lively and inclusive, welcoming runners dressed up for fun or those simply looking to lace up their shoes and hit the trails. A highlight of the day will be the award ceremony honoring the best-dressed runner in fancy dress attire.
Upon crossing the finish line, participants can look forward to receiving a bespoke medal as well as complimentary photographs capturing your momentous achievement. Leading runners will also receive trophies and prizes to celebrate their impressive performances.
Registration for on-the-day entry is available at £35 for the 10k distance, £30 for the 5k run, and just £7 for young participants in the Junior Run category (subject to availability). All registered entrants will be provided with detailed event information prior to race day.
