### Event Overview
The Monterey Ultra 50 Mile takes place on Saturday, February 6th, offering runners an unforgettable journey through diverse trails that wind through Fort Ord’s rich history. The following day, Sunday, February 7th, features the Fort Ord Trail Run with distances ranging from a challenging 25K to a shorter yet equally scenic 10K option.
### Course Details
#### Monterey Ultra 50 Mile (Saturday)
Starting at Laguna Seca Recreation Area, runners will embark on an epic 50-mile journey that includes both wide fire roads and narrow single-track trails. The course is meticulously designed with two loops: a rugged 35-mile loop and a more manageable 15-mile loop to complete the full distance. With aid stations strategically placed along the route—providing everything from energy gels to fresh fruit—you’ll have ample opportunities for rest and refueling.
#### Fort Ord Trail Run (Sunday)
On Sunday, participants can choose between two distances: the exhilarating 25K or a more manageable yet equally rewarding 10K. Both routes showcase the unique terrain of Ford Ord National Monument, including deep sand dunes and rocky outcrops that challenge even the most seasoned runners.

The top three overall male and female finishers at both distances will receive custom trophies, with the first-place winners receiving additional special items from Inside Trail Racing sponsors. All participants who cross the finish line are awarded a commemorative medal, while 50 Mile runners also take home a specially designed hat.
