Embark on an affordable running journey through the scenic South Park in Darlington, where monthly 1-mile road races await runners aged 8 and above of all skill levels. The certified course offers a single lap along gently rolling paths free from traffic congestion, providing a safe environment for participants to focus solely on their performance.
A unique twist to this series is that prizes are awarded based on the Top 10 Average Age Grade % Scores rather than traditional race times or placements. To qualify for these accolades, runners must complete at least three out of five scheduled races; however, your best three age grade scores will be averaged if you participate in more than three events.
Races #2 through #5 are set to challenge and engage participants throughout the summer months, leading up to a complimentary race #6 in September for those who have entered the series. This final event not only serves as an opportunity to improve your standing but also marks the end of the season with an awards presentation recognizing top performers.
Entry into this dynamic running series is flexible: choose between a £11 flat fee that covers all races or opt for individual race entries at just £3.50 each. Cash payments are accepted on event nights, ensuring accessibility for everyone interested in joining the fun and competition.
All events adhere to strict UKA Rules of Competition guidelines, with results submitted directly to Power of 10 and Run Britain Rankings databases, adding an extra layer of prestige to your achievements.
