Experience the beauty of Klamath Falls at the 16th Annual Moore Mountain Trail Runs on Saturday, September 26th! Nestled within one of the region's best-kept secrets, this event features three challenging race options: a fun and technically demanding 5k, a scenic half marathon, and an exhilarating 30k course. The races take place amidst stunning natural beauty, with over 90% of each route traversing high-quality single-track trails that offer sweeping vistas of Upper Klamath Lake and the majestic Mt. Shasta. The morning temperatures in September are typically around a comfortable 50 degrees Fahrenheit, creating ideal conditions for trail running. For runners tackling the half marathon or 30k routes, aid stations will be available at key points along the way to provide essential hydration and energy support. Specifically, these include mile markers 5.5 and 8.5 for the half marathon, as well as miles 5, 10.5, and 13.5 for the longer distance race. However, runners participating in the shorter 5k event will not have access to any aid stations along their route. Organized by the Linkville Lopers—a dedicated non-profit organization—the Moore Mountain Trail Runs prioritize community involvement and support local outdoor recreation initiatives through annual donations to organizations such as Klamath Trails Alliance, Friends of Moore Park, and the City of Klamath Falls. Entry fees are kept low to ensure accessibility for all runners. Join us this September in celebrating a day filled with challenging terrain, breathtaking scenery, and strong community spirit. The event is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every runner can enjoy the unique beauty and challenges that Moore Mountain has to offer while contributing back to local conservation efforts.
