MOORS VALLEY FESTIVE TRAIL RUNS - 2km Santa Run, 5km & 10km

Moors Valley Country Park invites trail runners of all ages to its festive winter wonderland on Sunday, December 6th, 2026. This charming country park transforms into a magical setting for the Moors Valley Festive Trail Runs, where participants can enjoy crisp air and scenic routes adorned with holiday cheer.
The event offers three distinct distances catering to various skill levels and age groups:
- The Festive 2km Fun Run is perfect for young adventurers aged 5 to 14 years old. This short but sweet dash through the winter woodland promises a confidence-building experience, complete with festive decorations along the way.
- For those seeking more distance, there's the Festive 5km Trail Run, which winds its way through Moors Valley’s crisp forest paths and lakeside tracks. Ideal for runners over the age of 11, this route offers an invigorating challenge amidst serene natural beauty.
- The most ambitious option is the Festive 10km Trail Run designed for runners aged 15 years and older. This longer course showcases Moors Valley's diverse terrain, from dense woodland to picturesque lakeside trails, providing a memorable run through winter scenery.
All participants are encouraged to don their Christmas hats or outfits and join in the festive spirit of the day. Accompanying adults can also participate for free alongside young runners on the 2km Fun Run course.
The event starts at 10:30am sharp, with each race offering a unique blend of challenge and celebration. On-site parking is available for normal rates, but car sharing is recommended to reduce environmental impact and make the most out of your day in Moors Valley Country Park.
