The Totton Running Club is excited to welcome runners back for another exhilarating edition of their annual 10k on Sunday, August 30th, 2026. Set under the auspices of UKA licence conditions and officially measured with chip timing, this event promises a competitive yet community-oriented atmosphere. The race begins at Stanleys Own Scout HQ in Copythorne, located off Romsey Road near Totton, Southampton, Hampshire (SO40 2PB). With an entry fee of £23.50 for non-affiliated runners and £21.50 for affiliated members, participants will receive a technical running shirt and goody bag as part of their race package. The course features two laps each covering five kilometers on undulating roads that challenge but do not deter the determined runner. The route offers both uphill climbs and downhill sections, making it possible to achieve personal best times with strategic pacing. Medical support, toilet facilities, parking spaces, and water stations are all provided along the way for a comfortable race experience. Awards will be given out to the top three male and female finishers as well as age-grade winners, adding an extra layer of excitement and recognition. All proceeds from this non-profit event benefit local community organizations such as the parish church and Scout groups in Copythorne. With a total capacity of 700 runners, early registration is recommended for those wishing to secure their spot at what promises to be one of the highlights of the running calendar in Southampton. Transfer options will be available once entries are full, but refunds cannot be issued. Join us on August 30th and contribute to making a difference within your community through sport!
