NEPA Ecotour

The NEPA Ecotour invites you on an unforgettable two-day, 85-mile journey through the picturesque landscapes of Northeastern Pennsylvania. This supported cycling tour offers a unique blend of adventure and exploration, showcasing the region's growing network of connected trails.
On Saturday, October 17th, your day begins at the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority Office in Scranton at 9 AM. From here, you'll be shuttled to Ararat for the start of an exhilarating ride along the scenic D&H Trail. The route gradually descends back into the valley, offering breathtaking views and a relaxed pace that allows time to appreciate the surrounding nature.
After lunch in Carbondale on the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail, you'll finish your day's adventure by 5 PM at the same office where bicycles will be securely stored overnight. In the evening, gather with fellow cyclists for a relaxing reception at Groove Brewing, featuring gourmet food and complimentary beverages to celebrate another successful ride.
On Sunday, October 18th, your journey resumes from Test Track Park in Berwick at 8 AM. Shuttle transportation brings you back to Scranton where bicycles are retrieved before embarking on the second day's 45-mile route. This challenging yet rewarding day features a mix of trail and road segments, including parts of the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail, Luzerne County Levee Trail, and Susquehanna Warrior Trail.
Throughout both days, enjoy light breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks provided to ensure you stay energized for every mile. Your focus remains on the ride itself – no need to worry about transportation or logistics beyond showing up at designated start points each day by their respective times.
