The annual fall tradition, returning on November 8, 2026, invites runners to explore the picturesque Overton Park in Memphis. The race kicks off early with participants gathering at East Parkway Pavilion, where they'll enjoy breathtaking views of Midtown's lush greenery and tranquil walking paths. As the sun rises, a cool autumn breeze will invigorate their run.
The course is meticulously designed to highlight the park’s natural beauty, meandering through diverse landscapes that transform with each step. The route loops back to its starting point at East Parkway Pavilion, ensuring minimal inclines on smooth pavements suitable for runners of all abilities. Towering trees offer welcome shade during laps around the park, creating a serene atmosphere.
Weather conditions are expected to be ideal, with clear skies and temperatures ranging from 9 to 18 degrees Celsius. A gentle breeze of about 11 kilometers per hour adds an extra layer of challenge but keeps things comfortable. The high humidity level at 71.9% might make the air slightly damp, yet not overly uncomfortable.
For families, a dedicated Kid's walk offers a similarly enjoyable and easy path through Overton Park, starting from the same location as the main event. Both participants in the 5K and those joining the Kid’s walk will find strategic aid stations along the route to ensure they stay well-supported throughout their journey.
