The 10th Wugong Mountain Trail Race runs September 12-13 from the Wugong Mountain visitor center in Pingxiang, Jiangxi, with 100K, 56K, 33K, and 13K distances plus two-day combo categories: Master (56K on the 12th + 13K on the 13th) and Challenge (33K + 13K). Registration opens July 22 at 10:00, with early-bird pricing through August 15.
The 100K starts 6:00 AM on the 12th with a 30-hour cutoff (98.68km actual, 6,304m of climbing, ITRA 5 points); the 56K starts the same morning with an 18-hour cutoff (56.3km, 3,789m climbing, ITRA 3 points); the 33K starts at 7:00 AM with a 12-hour cutoff (33.66km, 2,164m climbing, ITRA 1 point); the 13K starts the morning of the 13th with a 4-hour cutoff (12.56km, 277m climbing).
A UNESCO Global Geopark, Wugong Mountain holds 100,000 mu of high-altitude meadow unmatched anywhere else at its latitude, home to more than 2,000 plant and 1,900 animal species with 88.1% forest cover -- ten years running, runners return to test themselves on its 1,918-meter summit.
