Experience the Pedal Away Prostate Cancer Bike Race, set for Saturday, September 26, 2026. This flatland timed road race invites cyclists to explore Amish country in Kent County, Delaware, through picturesque landscapes and rolling hills. The event offers two distance options: a 25-mile route or an ambitious 50 miles. The journey begins at Eden Hill Medical Center on Banning Street in Dover, with registration opening at 8 am. The race kicks off promptly at 9:30 am rain or shine, ensuring that every participant can enjoy the day regardless of weather conditions. Participants will navigate a single loop for the 25-mile route and two loops for those choosing the longer distance. Detailed directions are available online, with maps provided by RidewithGPS for both distances. After crossing the finish line at 11:30 am, cyclists can partake in a complimentary picnic lunch while enjoying trophy presentations. The race also serves as the 40K cycling road event for the Delaware Senior Games (DSG), offering opportunities for riders aged 40 and above to compete or participate non-competitively. Competitive categories are available with electronic timing, though time trial bikes and aero bars are prohibited in competitive divisions. E-bikes can be used in the non-competitive group but not in competitive events. Top finishers will receive recognition for their efforts across various age groups: men under 40, between 40 and 54, 55 to 64, and over 65; women aged under 40, 40 or older, and 60 or older in the 25-mile race.
