The loop course measures 5.3 kilometers (3.28 miles) and winds through Thorpe Meadows, offering stunning views along the way. Runners will pass by several sculptures that dot the landscape surrounding the rowing lake, meander alongside the tranquil River Nene, and finish each lap with a serene journey through wooded trails.
Participants can choose from various distances ranging from 5 kilometers to an ultra marathon within a six-hour time limit. The event's flexible start times allow runners to begin their race anytime between 8:00 am and 9:00 am on the day of the event, ensuring no one has to wait around if they arrive early or feel rushed due to delays.
The course itself is designed for all levels of fitness with a mix of tarmac paths, grassy areas, and woodland trails. While primarily flat, it features a short but steep incline at approximately 2.3 miles (3.7 kilometers) into the lap. The total elevation gain across one loop is around eight meters.
