Run with the Cops 5K

On October 3rd, 2026, the Minocqua Professional Police Association (MPPA) invites runners of all ages to participate in their annual Run with the Cops 5K. This community-driven event aims not only to raise funds for various local initiatives but also to foster a sense of camaraderie and understanding between law enforcement officers and residents.
The race, set against the backdrop of the picturesque Bearskin Trail, begins at 3:00 PM sharp from the historic Bearskin Trestle. Participants can expect an out-and-back course that winds through this scenic trail, offering runners stunning views of the surrounding natural beauty while they lace up their shoes and join in a fun-filled day.
Registration for the event opens one hour before the race at 2:00 PM on Race Day at Torpy Park. The entry fee is $30 for individuals aged 13 and older, with children under 12 running free of charge. This year’s theme encourages participants to dress up in their best cop or robber costumes, adding a playful twist to the run.
The top three male and female finishers will be awarded medals during an awards ceremony following the race. While there are no age group prizes this time around, all runners can look forward to crossing the finish line with a sense of accomplishment and community spirit.
