About the Event

On September 27, 2026, the community comes together for a meaningful walk organized by CMHA-WECB and their partners to raise awareness about suicide prevention and promote mental health. Participants can choose between two routes: a shorter 2km route or an extended 5km path, both offering unique opportunities to connect with others while supporting this important cause.
The event features three different locations where walkers gather to honor those affected by suicide and celebrate the strength of community support. Each location provides a safe space for reflection and conversation among participants who walk in solidarity and memory.
Participants have the option to fundraise as part of their involvement, though it is not mandatory. Those who do choose to raise funds can earn valuable mental health training registrations:
- Raise $100 to receive a free registration for safeTALK.
- Reach $500 to secure a spot in Mental Health First Aid Essentials at no cost.
- Achieve the goal of $750 and gain access to Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training.
The first 250 registrants will also be rewarded with a complimentary swag bag, adding an extra touch of appreciation for their commitment to this vital cause.
