WINDSOR WATERFRONT HALF MARATHON & 5KM

The Windsor Waterfront Half Marathon & 5K returns to the bustling city of Windsor in Ontario, Canada on September 13th, 2026. This event is a celebration of community and athletic spirit, offering both seasoned runners and newcomers an unforgettable experience.
Race participants will start from the vibrant area just fronting Caesars Windsor casino and hotel, where the Detroit skyline stands as a prominent landmark to your left. The course unfolds along Riverside Drive, which is fully closed for the event, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted run through picturesque waterfront parks. Spectators and music at high-energy turn-around points will boost runners' morale as they pass by landmarks like the famous Hiram Walker distillery.
The race has been running since 2015, with over 3,600 participants annually. It supports various local charities and scholarships, making it a significant event for both athletes and community members. This year's edition promises to be even more special as it celebrates its eleventh run, offering an experience that is not only challenging but also deeply rewarding.
Course details reveal that runners will start with the Detroit skyline on their left, heading east along Riverside Drive. The first turn-around point is under the Hiram Walker distillery, where spectators and music provide a lively atmosphere. Participants then head back west, passing by Windsor's waterfront parks and historic Sandwich town before running underneath the Ambassador Bridge into downtown Windsor.
The half marathon route stretches for 21 kilometers, while the 5K run covers 5 kilometers. Each participant will receive a custom Windsor Waterfront T-shirt in their race packet with other sponsored goodies upon arrival at bib pickup on September 9th and 10th from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Caesars Windsor hotel lobby.
