On Sunday, September 27, 2026, the CMHA-WECB invites you to join their community walk as part of an initiative aimed at raising awareness about suicide prevention and promoting mental health. This event offers a supportive environment where participants can come together in solidarity and remembrance.
The route options include both a short 2km stroll and a more extended 5km journey, catering to various levels of physical activity while maintaining the focus on community support. Each location will feature routes that are designed for ease of navigation and accessibility, ensuring everyone's comfort during this meaningful event.
To enhance your experience further, participants who choose to fundraise have the opportunity to unlock special incentives:
- Raise $100 and receive a complimentary safeTALK registration.
- Reach $500 in fundraising efforts to secure a Mental Health First Aid Essentials training spot at no cost.
- Achieve $750 or more for an exclusive Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training registration.
The first 250 registrants will also be treated with a welcome swag bag, adding extra value and recognition to your participation. This event is not just about the physical walk but a collective effort towards fostering mental health awareness within our community.

About Windsor

Windsor is a mid-sized Canadian city on the southwest tip of Ontario. It's an extremely multicultural city with over 20% of its population having been born outside of Canada. The city's rich cultural background is evident in its Middle Eastern, Italian, and Asian neighbourhoods. Just across the Detroit River from Detroit and the American border, it's one of the very few places where you have to go south to enter Canada. Its main waterfront park stretches about 5 km (3.1 mi), from the 1929 Ambassador suspension bridge past the contemporary Windsor Sculpture Park. It ends near the 1894 Italianate Canadian Club Heritage Centre, which recalls when Windsor was a source for liquor smuggled to the Prohibition-era states.
