SATURN TOO - Midweek Medal Madness Run August 2026
About the Event
Saturn Too invites you to the August Midweek Medal Madness Run, an affordable and flexible running experience designed for all levels of runners looking to achieve their personal goals. Held on a Friday at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds along the picturesque River Thames, this event offers participants unparalleled flexibility with start times ranging from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The core attraction is its 7-hour time challenge format where you can run as little or as much as you want. The minimum distance requirement is a modest 3 kilometers, while ambitious runners can tackle full laps of approximately 4.37 miles (or potentially adjusted to 3.28 miles based on course conditions) for those aiming higher distances like half-marathons, marathons, and ultras. The route follows well-maintained paths and tarmac with a short grass section that’s easily navigable in regular running shoes year-round. Participants can enjoy the serene beauty of the Thames while navigating this fully signed course without needing any special navigation skills. Safety checks are conducted prior to the event date to ensure all runners have an optimal experience. A key highlight is the themed medal awarded upon completion, ensuring every finisher leaves with a tangible reminder of their accomplishment. Additionally, each runner receives a goody bag filled with treats and, for those adhering to vegan diets, there’s a special selection available too. For achieving significant milestones such as half-marathon or marathon distances, distance pins are also up for grabs. The event features an excellent aid station at the start/finish area offering a variety of refreshments including savory snacks, fruits, cheese, and vegan options to keep you fueled throughout your run. Special recognition is given to runners celebrating significant milestones like their 50th or 100th race with personalized running numbers. Facilities include toilets and changing areas available from 8 AM onwards at the venue headquarters for your convenience. Secure bag storage isn’t provided, so please be mindful of leaving valuable items unattended. Parking is readily accessible via a pay-on-exit carpark near Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Final race day instructions will be emailed to participants in advance and number pick-up happens on-site before the event begins. Saturn Too Limited, an official partner of Saturn Running, ensures all events are conducted responsibly with consideration for public footpath users. Join us at this unique opportunity to run your own way along one of England’s most scenic routes while enjoying a community atmosphere that supports every runner's journey.

About Egham
Learn more about the host city, Egham.
Egham is a town in the Borough of Runnymede in Surrey, England, approximately 19 miles (31 km) west of central London. First settled in the Bronze Age, the town was under the control of Chertsey Abbey for much of the Middle Ages. In 1215, Magna Carta was sealed by King John at Runnymede, to the north of Egham, having been chosen for its proximity to the King's residence at Windsor. Under the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the early 16th Century, the major, formerly ecclesiastical, manorial freehold interests in the town and various market revenues passed to the Crown.
