Selkirk Junior Triathlon

Live Borders Junior Triathlon Series 2026 invites young athletes to challenge themselves on August 15, 2026, at Selkirk Leisure Centre. This triathlon is designed specifically for juniors and offers a unique blend of swimming, cycling, and running in scenic settings around the town.
The swim portion takes place within the comfortable confines of Selkirk Leisure Centre, where participants will take to the pool in waves based on their estimated swim times. Following the pool entry, athletes transition briefly through an adjacent car park before heading out onto dry land.
Next up is a bike route that follows the picturesque riverside path, offering a mix of flat and slightly rolling terrain as young competitors pedal along the tranquil waters. The cycling segment provides ample opportunity to enjoy Selkirk's natural beauty while building endurance for what lies ahead.
After conquering two disciplines, participants transition once more before tackling an off-road run through the park adjacent to the leisure centre. This final leg of the race winds its way around lush greenery and varied terrain, testing young athletes' agility and stamina as they push towards the finish line.
