Severn Bridges 10k Road Race

Nestled in the heart of Shrewsbury's picturesque Quarry Park, the annual Severn Bridges 10K race offers runners an engaging and scenic route along the River Severn. This charming market town hosts this beloved race on September 6th, 2026, inviting participants to explore its historic surroundings while supporting a worthy cause.
The course begins in the serene Quarry Park, where runners will loop around the park before venturing out alongside the tranquil waters of the River Severn. The route then takes competitors over various bridges as they make their way back towards the finish line at the starting point, offering stunning views and an invigorating challenge for all levels of runner.
This event is organized by Shropshire Shufflers on a not-for-profit basis, with any surplus funds going to charity. A unique partnership this year sees West Mercia Search and Rescue (WMSAR) as official partners, providing valuable support across the region's extensive lowland rescue operations.
Key details for participants include:
- Race start: 10am
- Number collection: Available from 8:30am on race day at designated desks.
- Water station: Located at the 6km mark and again upon finishing.
- Cut-off time: Races conclude by 12:30pm.
Participants are encouraged to arrive ready to run, as there will be no changing or showering facilities provided. A bag drop area is available for those who need it.
The Severn Bridges 10K is an EA affiliated race (Licence No. 31439), ensuring a high standard of organization and safety measures are in place throughout the event. Should any unforeseen circumstances necessitate postponement, all entries will be rolled over to a rescheduled date or refunded at request.
