Sittingbourne 10 Mile & 10k Road Race

Join the Sittingbourne Striders for their landmark 40th anniversary celebration at this beloved road race on Sunday, October 4th. The event offers two distances—10 miles and 10 kilometers—through picturesque Kent countryside.
The route meanders through rolling hills and scenic landscapes, offering runners a mix of challenging terrain and breathtaking views. Whether you're aiming for personal bests or simply enjoying the outdoors, this race promises an invigorating experience that highlights both natural beauty and community spirit.
Kent Science Park serves as the hub for race day activities. This 65-acre park is home to innovative businesses and features a blend of modern facilities and historic charm. The Hub café will be open throughout the event, providing refreshments for runners and spectators alike. Additionally, indoor registration areas and accessible toilets ensure comfort and convenience.
The race raises vital funds for The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust, which supports neonatal care at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham. Over 1200 babies rely on this unit each year, making the charity’s work crucial in providing advanced equipment to enhance patient care and comfort.
Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit is a key sponsor of the event, offering its state-of-the-art facilities for both motorsport enthusiasts and community activities. The circuit's floodlit track provides safe spaces for junior cycling sessions and family running events, fostering an environment where young athletes can develop skills in a supportive setting.
Race highlights include stunning rural vistas, friendly competition, and a warm atmosphere that encourages runners to return year after year. Participants will receive bespoke medals and complimentary photographs, while top finishers are awarded trophies and prizes.
