The event takes place at The Poachers Inn on Ingersley Road in Bollington, a charming venue that has hosted the inaugural Spunch concept nearly four years ago. This picturesque location offers ample space for registration and a warm welcome with food and drinks available throughout the day. Participants can register from 4 PM onwards and start their adventure anytime between 4 PM and 7:30 PM on event day, ensuring there's plenty of daylight to enjoy the scenery. The course is designed to take you through both countryside paths and around Bollington’s charming town center. The terrain varies widely, with a mix of tarmac roads and off-road trails that wind their way across rolling hills and along picturesque canal routes. You might find yourself heading south towards White Nancy/Kerridge Ridge or exploring the lush Harrop Wood to the east. The northern route leads you through Breck Quarries for an even more rugged experience. The event is particularly inviting for those in the Macclesfield, Congleton, Holmes Chapel, Knutsford, Wilmslow, Cheadle Hulme, Bramhall, Poynton, Disley, Whaley Bridge, and Buxton areas. With easy access from major motorways like J17-J19 of the M6 or J5 & J3 of the M56 & M60 respectively, it's a convenient destination for runners across Cheshire. Dogs are welcome to join in on the fun but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times. The event also offers pairing opportunities if you're looking for company during your adventure. With over 60 checkpoints to discover using satellite punching via the MapRun app on smartphones, Garmin devices, or Apple Watches, participants are encouraged to visit as many points as possible during their allotted time.
