About the Event

The BTC Triathlon Series offers an engaging sprint triathlon experience set against the picturesque backdrop of Middle Head in Mosman, Sydney. Participants will begin with a 400-meter swim in the calm and sheltered waters of Obelisk Beach, followed by a scenic cycle ride along Chowder Bay Road for a total distance of 15 kilometers over five laps.
The race concludes with a challenging yet rewarding run through Middle Head Reserve’s historical barracks and lush bushland trails. The final leg covers 4 kilometers across two loops on Middle Head Road and the reserve's winding tracks, providing competitors with an immersive journey into Sydney Harbour National Park’s natural beauty.
Ideal for both novice triathletes looking to dip their toes in the sport and seasoned athletes seeking a spirited competition, this event features traffic-free routes that ensure safety and enjoyment. The BTC Triathlon Series is open to all participants who can register through our events page. Entry fees vary based on membership status: $60.00 for members of BTC or Warringah Tri Club, $70.00 for non-BTC Technical Association (TA) members, and $75.00 for those without either affiliation.
Join us on October 25, 2026, to experience the unique blend of sea, land, and history that makes this triathlon a standout event in Sydney’s sporting calendar.
