Staffs Knot 5 Miler and Fun Run

Welcome to the Stafford Harriers Staffs Knot Race Series, featuring both a 5-mile main race and a fun run. Set against the backdrop of Cannock Chase Visitors Centre on Marquis Drive in Hednesford, this event promises an exhilarating experience for runners of all ages.
The evening kicks off with the Fun Run at 6:30 p.m., covering two miles through scenic trails that wind around the visitor center. All participants will receive a medal upon completion and prizes are awarded to the top three U15 boys and girls, encouraging young athletes to give it their best effort. Accompaniment is required for children under eight years old.
At 7:15 p.m., runners aged fifteen and older can tackle the challenging 5-mile course of the main race. This event not only celebrates individual achievement but also fosters team spirit with prizes awarded in various age categories, as well as to teams competing across different divisions within the NSRRA League program.
The highlight for competitive runners is the chance to claim a £100 prize by breaking either the male or female course records set at 24:43 and 29:11 respectively. These benchmarks were established in 2025 when the race route was modified, resetting both records ahead of the upcoming season.
Participants should arrive dressed for the run as there are no changing facilities available on-site. Race numbers and timing chips will be distributed during registration at Cannock Chase Visitors Centre before each event begins.
