Dock 9 at Salford Quays offers open water swimming sessions throughout summer, inviting both seasoned swimmers and newcomers to enjoy its refreshing waters. Located within the vibrant M50 3AZ area, these swims provide an excellent opportunity for individuals of all skill levels to embrace aquatic fitness in a scenic setting.
The venue caters specifically to Bronze and Squid members with pre-booking discounts available, ensuring that regular participants can secure their spots at reduced rates. Both adults and juniors who are not part of the membership scheme have access to pre-booked slots as well, guaranteeing them a place ahead of time. However, even if you miss out on booking beforehand, there's still an option for same-day entry by paying the 'On The Day' rate.
Safety is paramount during these sessions. Swimmers are encouraged to bring their own tow-floats or can rent one at the venue to enhance safety measures while enjoying the water.
Swimming opportunities vary throughout the season:
- May through August: Sessions take place on Saturdays from 8am to 11am and Wednesdays from 5pm to 7:30pm.
- September swims continue on Saturdays but shift slightly later in the day, running from 10am to noon.
