Summerland Sweets 7.4K Trail Race

Welcome to the Summerland Sweets 7.4K Race, part of the prestigious Starting Block Interior Running Association Trail Series. This scenic race takes place on Sunday, September 20th at 10:00 AM sharp from the picturesque Summerland Rodeo Grounds in British Columbia.
The event offers both a challenging 7.4 km course and a more leisurely 3.2 km fun run for participants of all ages to enjoy. Both routes wind through recreational trails and single-track paths, offering runners an immersive experience amidst nature’s beauty. The race begins and ends at the Summerland Rodeo Grounds, providing easy access with parking available on-site.
Participants should register online by 6 PM on Saturday, September 19th as no day-of-race registration is allowed. For those heading to the venue from Highway 97 in Summerland, simply follow Prairie Valley Road westward through Dairy Queen and Tim Hortons until reaching Doherty Avenue where you'll turn right onto Bathville Road, following signs for KVR train station and Rodeo grounds.
The race day will feature washrooms at the starting line along with medical support on-site to ensure a safe running environment. After crossing the finish line, runners can look forward to refreshments, awards ceremonies, and an array of draw prizes including a pair of New Balance shoes for 7.4K racers and entry into Penticton's 8.2K XC race.
Entry fees are $30 for adults in the main event and $10 for those participating in the fun run category. BC Athletic Competitive members receive a discount, with their fee reduced to $25 upon registration. Please note that no dogs or baby joggers/strollers will be permitted on the course; violators risk disqualification.
