Race organizers are keeping runners on their toes with a brand-new route set to debut from Cove Creek Group Campground area. The Swank 65 promises an unforgettable experience with registration and packet pickup available from Friday, November 6th through Saturday, November 7th at Black Mountain Trailhead. Race day itself begins early on Sunday, November 8th when registration opens at 7:00 AM sharp. The race kickstarts exactly two hours later at 9:00 AM. Aid stations will be strategically placed along the course to ensure that racers stay fueled and hydrated throughout their journey. Post-race festivities include a hearty meal and an array of local beers from Hi-Wire Brewing, ensuring you're well-replenished after your efforts. Awards ceremonies are planned for 12:30 PM and again at 1:30 PM to celebrate top performers in each category. Safety is paramount, with police escorts providing support as needed. While cutoff times for aid stations remain unannounced until closer to the event date, rest assured that officials will enforce them strictly if necessary to ensure all participants' safety. For your convenience and enjoyment, this race includes a new event shirt designed specifically for 2026, well-marked course signs, and timely post-race meals. Chip timing ensures accurate results, allowing you to focus on the journey rather than tracking your progress manually. Registration is straightforward with clear guidelines provided online. Refunds are available until July 31st at a rate of 75% of the entry fee, decreasing to 50% by September 30th. No refunds will be issued after this date without exception. We strongly recommend purchasing race insurance through our registration site for added peace of mind and protection against unforeseen circumstances.
