Tavy 7 2026

The Tavy 7, organized by the Tavistock Athletic Club, invites runners to experience the beauty of Dartmoor's rolling hills and picturesque lanes. This annual event takes place on October 25, 2026, starting at Plaster Down and winding through scenic stretches around Pew Tor before passing the hamlet of Sampford Spiney.
The race course is marked with mile markers to help runners keep track of their progress as they navigate its gently undulating terrain. Along the way, participants will encounter two water stations strategically placed along the 7-mile route to ensure hydration throughout the run.
Upon finishing or at the start line, runners can enjoy a food and drink van offering refreshments in the heart of Tavistock's vibrant community atmosphere. All finishers receive a medal as a testament to their achievement, while an optional tech T-shirt is available for purchase before race day for £13 (with an additional £4 charge for postage if ordered after October 9th).
The event welcomes runners aged 16 years and older on the day of the race. With its stunning natural setting and supportive community spirit, the Tavy 7 offers a memorable running experience that celebrates both athletic prowess and the beauty of Dartmoor's landscapes.
