Teltowkanal-Marathon

Running enthusiasts are invited to join an intimate marathon along the Teltow Canal near Berlin-Zehlendorf on July 21, 2026. This unique event begins at Zehlendorf S-Bahn station and follows a loop that extends from there down the canal before returning via the same route. Participants must be self-reliant as no markings or support will be provided; GPS is essential for navigation.
The race starts promptly at 8:00 AM, with registration closing once ten runners are confirmed—three of whom need to commit early to ensure the event proceeds. Those who wish to run solo can do so but must record their own time accurately using a GPS device or smartphone and report it via email upon completion.
The course is not officially measured, making this an adventurous challenge for experienced athletes looking to test their skills in navigating through scenic yet unmarked terrain. Runners are responsible for managing their hydration and nutrition needs independently throughout the route.
Upon finishing at Zehlendorf S-Bahn station, participants will receive a certificate of achievement if they adhere strictly to the rules regarding timing and fair play. Results and awards can be found on Race Result platform afterwards.
