Temptation 200: Embrace Your Limits and Beyond!
Join us this Labor Day Weekend, September 4-7, 2026, for the eighth annual Temptation 200 Ultra Race. This challenging event offers three distance options—200K (125 miles), 150K (93 miles), and a shorter but no less demanding 50K (31 miles)—all designed to push your endurance to its limits.
The race begins at dawn on Saturday, with the full 200K participants setting off at 4:00 AM. The course is rugged and unforgiving, featuring undulating terrain that tests both body and mind. Runners are given a generous window of up to 40 hours to complete their chosen distance, but the true challenge lies in maintaining consistency throughout.
Those opting for the full 200K must reach Loop 7 by 10:00 AM on Sunday or risk not being allowed to continue. Meanwhile, the 50K runners who start at 6:00 AM on Sunday have a strict five-hour cutoff after their second loop. The shorter Not At All Tempted 10K is scheduled for an early morning start at 8:00 AM on Sunday.
Race day offers more than just miles and checkpoints; it’s a test of your resolve, offering runners the chance to upgrade distances if they feel ready to push further. However, this decision comes with risks—dropping out midway will result in no awards for higher distances. The race directors play the role of devil's advocate, tempting you at every turn to see just how far you can go.
Awards are a significant draw for competitors, ranging from custom challenge coins and stunning buckles marking your achievement to beautifully framed maps celebrating your journey. Camping is included at Oak Campground near the start/finish line, though amenities are basic—no showers or electricity available. Race registration closes on August 1st for sweatshirt guarantees, but deferrals up to one year post-race date remain an option until late July.
